This pair got married in the same room as the groom’s parents… 37 years later!
We got married in the same room in the same building (Moat Room, Harrow Registry Office) as my parents, with the same registered home address. The only difference: the two weddings were 37 years apart! The wedding reception was held on the largest boat on the River Thames, the Dixie Queen, that included the opening of Tower Bridge. We also had a nine-tier cake!

My favourite highlights that I think achieved this were: my 5m maypole, our rock-paper-scissor vows, our pirate celebrant, the giant Soul Train dance line we had with all 200 guests coming down in pairs, our very silly first dance to Marvin Gaye's “Let's Get It On,” my dancing down the aisle to “Ain't No Mountain High Enough,” my four wardrobe changes, our gong for speeches, and so much more.

Jenny and Liam are major Potterphiles and wanted to inject some Harry Potter magic into their Liverpool, UK wedding. Jenny in particular was super resourceful during planning. She found her gorgeous black gown at a prom dress store and sourced tons of their vendors through Facebook, Etsy, and small businesses. Plus, there was a ton of DIY (with no real magic to help!) including handmade wand favors and loads of house colors and Hogwarts details.
