What do you wish you’d spent more money on?
We are close to hitting the ceiling on our small-budget wedding, and I’d love to hear from Offbeat Bride readers who’ve finished their weddings…
What are things that you wish you spent more or less on?
Wedding tit for wedding tat: Am I obligated to invite someone to my wedding if they invited me to theirs?
I’m getting married this fall, and we’ve done our best to keep the guestlist under 100 people. Of course a smaller guestlist has meant making a lot of tough decisions about who not to invite, but them’s the breaks.
…Except for now I just got an invitation to an acquaintance inviting me to HER wedding! Needless to say, this is an acquaintance who I’m NOT inviting to our wedding… what do I do?
How do I give up what I’d always expected my wedding to be?
I always expected to have a big wedding in my hometown, complete with second cousins and friends from high school. Basically, this can’t happen if my partner’s family is to attend, because they can’t travel due to their health. So even though, in a vacuum, I’d love to have my big hometown wedding, it’s just not feasible with my partner’s life. She wants a family-only wedding or an elopement.
…But how do I get over that lost wedding?
Have your DJ or MC remind people to sign the guestbook
Offbeat Bride Tribe member aquaring recently chewed over a few of her wedding day regrets, and shared this impeccable tip: Have your DJ announce / remind people to sign the guest book at some point during the night.
