I'm currently (and finally!) writing my wedding profile for The Redwood Wedding. (Omg, you guys, it's been a TIME. I'm having so much trouble finding the right words and sorting through all the photos.) And while I've been re-visiting The Blessed Day, I've been revisiting some of my details.
I thought I'd highlight the wedding purchases that brought me the most joy. (Besides my dress, which was the ultimate purchase.) Maybe they'll do the same for you, or spark some inspiration for your wedding…
I bought this whiskey decanter, had it filled with pre-mixed Old Fashioneds, and topped it with a personalized copper bottle tag from HAMMERHEAD Designs that said exactly what I said to him when he proposed: “Fuck yes, I'm going to marry the fuck out of you!” I had it delivered to Mike and his wedding party while they were getting ready.
Custom cornhole boards by JTBs Wood Works with our wedding logo. We now break these out any time we have a party in our backyard!
The same goes for this Giant Jenga set from Splinter Woodworking. We wrote all our guests' names on each block.
I bought two different Game of Thrones-themed wine boxes from Etsy seller CircleCityDesignCo as thank you gifts for the groom's party.
The Bells of the Ball Unicorn Ceramic Jewelry Holder acted as our ring bearer during the ceremony, and then doubled as table decor later.
I had a few pieces of custom silverware made, including this “forking and spooning since” set from GraceBeganToGrow and a fork that said “I <3 waffles" for myself from Hammer And Black
Apparently they're sold out now, but I got lucky to get my hands on one of these authentic Cersei wine goblets from The Merchant Ventures in the UK. And it's one of my favorite things IN LIFE.
Finally, these You're Fucking Awesome notecards thank you notes were purchased for a few Very Special Wedding Helpers. And they brought joy not just to me, but to the recipients as well.
