Fair warning: this amazing, colorful wedding shoot includes ALL THE COLORS, just in time to yeet those Winter blues away. Coming to you from Pittsburgh, the combined powers of Maya Lovro (photographer), Amanda Wolf (planner), and Kati Grimes (fashion designer) created something magical: think “Lisa Frank marries Billy Porter” where all the players are LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and/or allies to both.

Yes, you can wear black and white to your colorful wedding

The team employed a veritable cornucopia of materials, colors and designs for the ceremony arch – feathers! flowers! balls! – with a name for the event that encapsulated the mood of both themselves and the models in literally neon lights: LOVE FREELY. We love how the couple is wearing simple black and white, allowing the surrounding colors to explode.

When the colorful wedding is exploding with details

Even though this was a staged shoot, no detail was spared. Here we have the “save the date” and menu for the big day, surrounded by a sampling of all things bright and beautiful.

Check out this rainbow of a tablescape, with multicolored cutlery, even MORE neon, and some green goblets for toasting the merriment. And of course, the FLOWERS:

The delicate flora possessed colors not frequently seen on this planet, much less in nature – but loving freely demands whimsy and we are here for it.

Our favorite ring at this colorful wedding?

You can spot multiple rings employed for the ceremony, but admittedly this is our favorite: as with the aforementioned white and black gowns, there's a timeless simplicity to this black and silver ring that's spot on, framed with the ever-present bling of the day.

When the colorful wedding party paints the town RAINBOW

The stars of the show. LOOK AT THESE BEAUTIFUL HUMANS. We keep hyping on this but the surrounding greyscale really makes everyone/everything POP and we can't stop looking. And is there a baby? YES. More baby later.

BYOB – Bring your own baby to this colorful wedding

We promised more baby! They're pictured here gazing at the proceedings with a curious mix of wonder and wisdom, held by a glamorous participant whose beaded jacket and sublime makeup is almost more fabulous than words can describe.

LOVE the hair and makeup at this colorful wedding

Honestly *everyone's* eyeliner is incredible. We love to see it here especially with that fabulous hairdo! Also, props to the designer: formal orange isn't easy to pull off, but this? This is perfect, and we love this person's energy.

We'll see more of these cuties later, including a boutonniere that you will 100% adore – here they are sneaking a smooch, wrapped in delicate chains and disco. Staged or candid, the love here is giving us life!

A handfasting remix at this colorful wedding

The awesome thing about ancient traditions like handfasting: you can remix them in sooo many ways while staying true to their essence, as with this woven rope with dangling charms. Also: the officiant is wearing an outfit that brings everything together, with swirls and shades that we genuinely want to swim through!

OH HELLO OTHER GORGEOUS HUMAN. Their smile and royal blue feathered jacket is bringing us some additional unexpected joy!

This colorful wedding boutonniere is GIVING

Here's that boutonniere! It's like a flower waterfall and genuinely a masterpiece that we can't look away from. Reminds us of shoulder corsages, TBH!

Can we talk about this Lisa Frank cake tho?

Of course a Lisa Frank homage made an appearance at this colorful wedding. This one goes out to all the cuties who plastered rainbow snow leopard stickers all over their notebooks. This is edible art almost too beautiful to eat. The details are astounding: colorful swirls, disco balls, butterflies. But what about the inside?
