I've been seeing these soft braid-y coiffures on Pinterest a lot, and this one popped out as not-too-difficult and totally fascinator-friendly. And if I think it looks easy, then it probably is since I'm completely hairstyle-impaired. The stupidly gorgeous Keiko Lynn teaches us the style here, and each step looks like a different finished look to me. So really, you could pick any of the photos to recreate.
The catch is, this is for at least medium-length hair. But for shorter hair, you could potentially recreate the teased part and then supplement with fun braided headbands that match your haircolor.
So get out your teasing comb and try it out! Then let us know how it worked out for you.

Oooh, I think I just found my hairstyle! Hope my Chelsea cut will grow out in time… If not, hello temporary extensions! <3
She *is* stupidly gorgeous!
Srsly! Unreal.
I have super long hair so I can do it with my real hair. I’m not so good with the hair stuff – but this is one of the few things I have been able to teach myself! *:-D big beaming smile!*
Okay, this is the first time in quite some time I’ve wished my hair was long!!!
I had already bookmarked this image for my wedding hair and more or less decided on it!! But I didn’t know there was a tutorial – thanks for sharing. (and gadzooks that woman is pretty as a picture)
Even for shorter hair, you could still do something like this, if you french braided the braids rather than just wrapping long hair around your head. I’ve been growing out a pixie cut for about a year (and my hair grows sloooow) and I’m actually wearing something kind of similar to work today.
I cheat!!! I have tipping shoulder length hair and I sometimes wear a braid hair band like the one above from Amazon.
If you are cheating, like me with shorter hair, the secret is to keep it to a skinny braid.

I’m long since a bride (2009) but still love dipping into your wedding site !
This is a great hairstyle! Also, Keiko Lynn is my GURU for makeup tips. I have had short hair for a long time so her hair tutorials are typically wasted on me, but her makeup tutorials? Ooooohh my goodness. She definitely rocks the Offbeat vibe if anyone’s looking for wedding (or everyday) tips. She’s saved me from a decade-long makeup rut 🙂
ahh, keiko lynn. she is THE BOMB and always has had the best hair tips. she is one of my favorite bloggers.
Aw, man! I wish I had seen this before my wedding. Seriously, the more hairstyles the better! 🙂 (Especially ones I could have done myself!)
