This IS the Star Wars meets Star Trek sci-fi dessert bar you’re looking for

We’ve got Michelle and Phil’s “Oscars in space” wedding coming soon, but I couldn’t wait to share their geektastic Star Wars meets Star Trek dessert bar. It’s the final frontier in satisfying your sweet tooth at the reception. We’re talking Wookiee cookies, Death Star cake balls, Star Trek iced cookies, pretzel lightsabers, and R2-D2 oreos. Plus there were even themed drinks like “The Beverly Crusher” and “The Dark and Stormy Side.” Let’s take a sneak peek before we see their full wedding later this week.

Want to see some make-outs? Pony up for charity instead of glass clinking

We love this alternative to the glass-clinking-kissing tradition. Instead of having guests clink their glasses to get the couples to kiss, they solicited a small donation for a worthy cause, the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation. See how Hailey and Delainy did it, what signage they used, and why they chose to celebrate a cause instead of just some smooching.

Don your disguise for this planetarium masquerade wedding

Stacy and Mikey were married under the stars at the Michigan Science Center, with an elaborate masquerade ball reception held at the Crofoot Ballroom two weeks later, on October 30. Masked guests were entertained by the Detroit Circus Company’s flame throwers, stilt walkers, contortionists, and trapeze artists. Just wait until you see Stacy and Mikey’s reception garb and makeup — it is seriously a sight to behold. Let’s check out the gorgeous ceremony and wildly-coiffed reception of your masquerade dreams.
