If we’re dreaming, don’t wake us up… because we’re absolutely in love with Beacon and Rebecca’s accessible Alice in Wonderland wedding! Okay, this definitely was NOT a dream because we have pics from Chris Wojdak Photography to prove it happened. The couple honored their spiritual lives on their wedding day with a pre-ceremony Reiki session and a handfasting ceremony. But they also honored the other people they love by making sure the day was barrier-free for any guests who had specific accessibility needs. Wondering how to make your wedding more welcoming for all your guests? Beacon and Rebecca have some tips for you. And we rarely talk about the guests’ style on this blog… but you won’t want to miss the guests’ fits at this wedding! Cake, however, is something we do tend to talk about – this one is a real stunner. Feast your eyes on this beauty!
Accommodations were top of mind at this accessible Alice in Wonderland wedding
Many people think a wedding is all about the couple – and sometimes it is. But sometimes it’s about their community, too, and Beacon and Rebecca had all their loved ones in mind when planning their big day. Rebecca has one child who uses a wheelchair, and between them, they share a community that needs accommodations for mobility impairments, immune deficiency, and neurodivergences. They wanted to make sure everyone who attended could have a great time and feel safe. In addition to having their wedding at a wheelchair accessible location (an outdoor park – no stairs required!), they also set up a wellness station next to their guest book where guests could grab a mask and some hand sanitizer. And because friends and family made all the food, they could accommodate a variety of dietary needs. Let’s bring community care to our weddings, friends!
The outfits at this accessible Alice in Wonderland wedding are giving Mad Hatter
If you walked into Beacon and Rebecca’s wedding, you might wonder why many guests were donning hats… curiouser and curiouser! Well, that’s because this couple had a subtle “Alice in Wonderland” theme for their celebration. The hats were a big hit among family and friends and really added a little “something extra” to their outfits. Since all of the decorations were homemade, they were able to customize them to the theme as well – and we’re kind of obsessed with these moss covered stacks of books, complete with Alice in Wonderland-themed bookmarks and a queen of hearts! We’re all mad here… madly in love!
Honestly I have not met two people who were more wildly head over heels for each other.

The cake at this Alice in Wonderland wedding is STUNNING
We’ve seen a lot of wedding cakes in our day (and eaten a few, too), but we can’t take our eyes off of the cake at Beacon and Rebecca’s wedding reception. I mean, seriously! Look at those flowers! They say perfection doesn’t exist, but this simple and elegant cake might just prove that wrong. We especially love how well the cake matches Rebecca’s GORGEOUS bouquet (which also busts this “no such thing as perfection” myth, in our opinion).
This accessible Alice in Wonderland wedding was a dream of a wedding day!
It wasn’t just the Reiki (although that certainly helped)… this wedding was infused with tons of love and thoughtfulness – from the accessibility accommodations, to the handmade decorations and food, to the beautiful cake and flowers. Congrats, Beacon and Rebecca! May your life be a wonderland of fun together!
