All photos by Corey Torpie.

Rebecca and Meeka had to battle downpours throughout their entire wedding day, but even the most torrential rain couldn't stop them from smiling! The two held their ceremony in a barn decorated with animal skulls and rope, and cleverly used white roses to mark seats intended for family members. After jumping the broom, they moved on to the reception space, where plenty of dancing and toasting followed. If you still want more after looking at the photos, videographers Love Brain Films shared their wedding video right here. Get the tissues out! It's a good one.

Comments on A love-heavy rainy day wedding in a New York barn

  1. I love this! Both brides look absolutely beautiful, the desserts look amazing, and I love the simplicity and elegance of all the details. And that first shot is FANTASTIC. Hope you’re having it printed and framed in a huge size for your home!

    • That first photo is one of my favorite things I’ve ever seen. They just look so blindingly HAPPY.

  2. Not praying for rain, but I think I like the way rainy day pics come out better. and the little bit of rain on y’alls clothes adds something too.
Lovely lovely wedding. Love both of your outfits (ESPECIALLY the white pants), and especially love the hair (I’m a new natural and it’s hard thinking of how to make my hair look different for fancy occasions.

  3. BEAUTIFUL. I agree, that first shot in particular is just so lovely and love-beamy and great. Also, the bride in the dress got some AIR jumping the broom! Too cute!

  4. what a GORGEOUS wedding. two lovely brides and all that fam and friend fam… how amazing. barely even noticed the rain, honestly! my heart is full for the both of you, congratulations… and if you don’t frame that first photo, y’all are foolish!!!! too full of love and light not to!!!

  5. The love here is so visible, it’s like the pictures vibrate with it. Congratulations. It wasn’t even a write up and it made me cry.
