This celestial Art Nouveau wedding will leave you starry-eyed
We had a celestial Art Nouveau wedding theme with lots of vintage elements. We wanted to evoke the essence of standing in a garden during the Harvest Moon under a million stars. I wanted to capture the romantic feeling of the Art Nouveau period, like an Alphonse Mucha painting.
These gamers rocked a music festival playlist vibe (& a Bioshock-themed first look!)
The theme was largely based on our mutual love of music and the love we have for our city, with a healthy amount of gamer touches. Our wedding website is themed after a festival website. My husband modeled our invite off of a vintage Beatles ticket. I decided that I was going to do a first look surprise and walk out to him a handmade Big Daddy head from Bioshock. Shout out to cosplayers because that was by far the most time consuming and stressful thing I ever made. Worth it.
We’re overcome by the dried flowers, faerie dresses, archery, and sword fight at this wedding
Gorgeous wedding party boots, handmade faerie dresses, and loads of rustic details make this wedding a heartbreaker. There were hula hoops at the cocktail hour, dancing down the aisle at the ceremony, and the reception included a sword fight, impromptu "Lord of the Dance" performance, and a birthday celebration. Definitely don’t miss the epic sword fight, too!
Red and black rockabilly for days at Jessica & Tim’s wedding
DIYed centerpieces never looked so fine with red and black accents. Add in the rockabilly fashion, the custom Converse, gorgeous high-ceiling venue, and hand-painted wine ceremony box, and you’ve got a modern chic rockabilly vibe. Don’t miss the last-minute cake cutting tool and the sweet, emotional flower girl. Tears!
