Offbeat bride Lindsay wrote to us about her unusual wedding invitation tradeoff that she did with her best friend and fellow offbeat bride. Lindsay explains…
My friend Veronica and I are both artists, getting married to artist husbands that we both met through art schools. We were engaged within months of each other, and she got married just after I did. During our planning, we made a pact, to each design the others' invitation.
And here are the awesome results of the offbeat invite tradesies…
More photos and insight into this invite can be seen here.
Lindsay and her husband Alex are both also animators and make lots of fun cartoons together, so they put their heads together and managed to crank out (during the 2 week period before their own wedding!) an animated invitation for Veronica and her husband…
Lindsay said,
“They were having a destination wedding on Cape Cod, so I wanted to include many elements that reflected that (postcard-ish look, the sagamore bridge, fun beach dancing, etc), as well as many of the personal touches that are unique to Veronica's wedding vision (handmade things, cupcakes, her wedding colors).”
Amazing job on both regards. I hope that wedding invitation tradesies become, like, a THING — because they're awesome!
LOVE IT! This was a great idea! Both of the invitations turned out so wonderfully full of love. I hope this becomes like a THING, too! 🙂
And the artist husbands are both gingers?! You guys should couples date for the rest of your lives.
