Hi! I'm <a href="http://myleskatherine.com/" rel="nofollow">Myles Katherine</a> and I'm a cat-obsessed, creative lady with way too many cameras. I truly believe in fairy tales (with a bit of a twist, of course). My images are typically described as dreamy, whimsical and unconventional, which is perfect for an Offbeat Bride if you ask me! I shoot both film and digital photography, using cameras like the Holga, Polaroid, and various 35 mms. Every time I photograph a wedding, it’s important to me to create images that are unique to you and your personality. I focus on capturing the in-between moments and the true emotion of the day, but don't worry, we will get those posed family shots, too! I also love doing fashion photography, so I'm always up for incorporating fashion-inspired ideas into shoots. I am based in Richmond, Virginia but I will travel anywhere, anytime. I also have family in Portland, Oregon so I go back there multiple times a year as well. In certain cases, I will work on a sliding scale to create a package for those on a tight budget.

I graduated from Lynchburg College with a degree in Studio Art and Photography. Once I set foot into a darkroom in college, there was no turning back. I am head over heels in love with photography and I would be thrilled to be the one to capture your wedding day (or any other type of event, really)! I've photographed over 100 weddings so you can rest assured that your wedding photos will be everything you dreamed of and more.

I find it most important in life to just be a good person. I've met so many incredible couples through the weddings I've photographed and through Offbeat Bride. I hope to keep meeting and working with more of you lovely people!

How I cater to offbeat weddings

This is one of the most important fields on your vendor listing! I'm a little offbeat myself. I have a love for all things strange and dreamy and I love meeting interesting people. My true loves in life are cats, cupcakes and (obviously) cameras.

My husband, Chris, is a wedding DJ and we offer a discounted package if you book us both together (and mention that you found us on Offbeat Bride)! He has a huge vinyl collection and plays a mix of vinyl and digital tunes to fit your taste. We’re also in an experimental pop band together called Rugby!

Chris and I got married in 2017 in Hawaii so I totally understand the stresses of a wedding. I believe your wedding day should be relaxing, memorable and magical.
