How I cater to offbeat weddings
Hey, I’m Celeste—and if your wedding doesn’t fit in a box, I’m probably the photographer for you.
I specialize in storytelling photography for couples who are doing things their way—ditching the rulebook, skipping the awkward poses, and leaning into a day that actually feels like them. Whether you’re eloping at a mountaintop cabin, getting married barefoot in the woods, or planning a backyard celebration with zero expectations and all the heart—I’m here for it.
I proudly work with LGBTQ+ couples, polyam folks, chosen families, second-time-around sweethearts, and anyone who’s ever felt like the wedding industry wasn’t built with them in mind. My contracts are gender-neutral, my communication is inclusive, and my approach is low-pressure and people-first. No judgment, no assumptions—just honest connection and photos that feel like memories.
A little about me? I’ve been married for 26 years, I’ve got three grown kids, a sassy 7-year-old, and a small farm full of critters. I homeschool, drink coffee & chew A LOT of gum, and spend my days chasing both light and laughter. I don’t do this work for the Pinterest boards—I do it for the people. For the love that’s loud or quiet, traditional or totally off-script. And I don’t do this work alone. My son Jacob is my right-hand at most sessions—a talented content creator/videographer and second shooter who’s been with me at nearly every wedding and proposal for the last few years. He’s neurodivergent, obsessed with Dungeons & Dragons, has killer music taste, and sees the world in a way that makes our storytelling even richer.
If you’re planning something a little weird, a little wild, or a whole lot personal—I’d be honored to tell your story.
I can’t say enough good things about Celeste. She did my proposal photos for me and they turned out amazing. In the weeks leading up to the proposal she worked with me to prepare and plan for the day, she is super flexible and can make whatever you you have in mind work. On the day of the proposal there was a planning miscommunication with a third party that put the proposal in jeopardy. Celeste made a new plan on the spot and basically saved the proposal for that day, because if she wasn’t apart of it, it wouldn’t have happened. When we got to taking photos, she made it fun and easy which I didn’t think was actually possible with a professional photographer. The way she played games and made the session flow made our photos super candid and fun and is what kept the proposal a surprise. I had the best experience I’ve ever had with Celeste, so if you’re looking for a photographer, I recommend going with Celeste and the peace of mind that you have a great photographer to work with and trust.
