Jessica & Chris’s film geek dance party bonanza wedding
Rock Your Wedding week’s third wedding could have also been featured in a theme week for geeks or films. BUT this week is about rocking it and that’s exactly what the groom did! During the recepiton, he played with both his current band and had a reunion with his high school band. -Becca
Candace & Erik’s 1930s gal meets ska boy wedding
Candance and Erik has a simple ceremony at the registry office in London. They created a vinage feel with her lovely satin gown and Erik’s pin-stripe suit and hat. Friends from all over the world came to see them wed and Candance rocked a leather jacket and skull ring to keep things ‘her.’
Sonja & Wade’s original, retro, steamPUNK DIY wedding
When I saw this wedding in the OBB Flickr Pool, I was like “OMG! I must know everything about this amazing red haired, punk rock, mohawk wedding! EVERYTHING!” And it was WAY awesomer than I thought — there is a body modification ceremony, co-mohawks, the Looney Tunes theme song, and a DIY cake. As Megan said recently, while all of us love all kinds of Offbeat weddings, we, also, all have our own fantastic brand of Offbeat. This is mine, y’all! Enjoy! – Becca
Joan and Tom’s upcycled carnival cabaret wedding
We married on September 11, 2010. We’d just met when the 9/11 tragedy occurred. After the initial shock subsided, we made a big feast for the people who lived in our building. That was the first loving thing we did as a couple, so we consider it our anniversary. It made sense to marry on that day (albeit having to explain the story a million times).
