A forest masquerade handmade wedding
This bride’s DIY skills are MAD! She made so many of the outfits including her own black and white striped, purple reception gown (which fit amazingly well into their masquerade-themed reception!). Don’t miss the paper flower decor, the forest-y venue, the sexiest boots, and the tiniest aisle-walker ever!
Check the Star Wars LEGO details at this Philadelphia nerdy wedding
Transformers references in the ceremony, library escort cards, LEGO mini-figs… it’s like a geek’s paradise up in these parts. But it’s all wrapped up in meaningful rituals, EPIC fashion (check out the hats!), and a reallygood compromise between those who love to dance and those who love to chill. You’ll want to steal these ideas, folks.
Morgan & Matt’s robot love fest wedding
Robots and aliens have invaded weddings this week! It’s making me want to break it down in a binary solo. This couple had all their guests bring something robo-related, including a mini mechanical baby! And barring one robot mishap at the ceremony, it was a total success. Even some YOLOing teenagers couldn’t hamper the awesomeness.
A backwards wedding with two purple dresses and a sweet sing-along
Tash and Jules’ Tasmanian wedding at Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm was a bit backwards, in the best sense: the reception came before the ceremony! And of course, the party continued after the ceremony, so it was like two parties in one (with two purple dresses, no less!). Tash sang a sweet song to Jules at the reception: “Hey Jude” became “Hey Jules,” and EVERYONE joined in, including the venue crew. Let’s just let Tash herself explain how that felt. OH, and wait until you get a load of the LEGO cake.
Chloe & Rudy’s chic goth historic mansion wedding
Let’s talk about the fashion going on here: black lace, Doc Martens, brocade tail coat, leather harness, and spiked Jeffrey Campbells — it’s a gothic wonderland of noir chic. Add in the backdrop of a haunted historic mansion and all the spiders, skulls, and pumpkins you could ask for on a dark night, and you’ve got this elegant affair (with Offbeat Bride vendor The Reverend D at the ceremony helm!).
Leah & Jaime’s Friday the 13th dance-fest wedding
A Friday the 13th wedding with a zombie-inspired ceremony, and skull details (including matching tattoos!) — this means a pretty rad and gothic wedding with tons of gorgeous touches. And wait until you get a load of their reception dance-fest details: an LED dance floor AND a must-see Dance Dance Revolution arcade setup, which led to a most excellent impromptu group dance to Grease songs!
