Ashley & Josh’s home-brewed prison wedding with a rap video

This bride goes gaga for DIY projects, and the biggest problem was reining them in! One of the best projects was the bride’s rap video gift to the groom. You have to see it to believe it. Other killer details included the dance into the ceremony, the abundant coffee filter flowers, and the cutie-pie vows worth stealing. But be warned: good luck getting through their favorite moment. Tissues will be required.

Karly & Steve’s artsy and crafty upcycled wedding

A certain superstorm may have wreaked havoc in the days before this wedding, but they pulled it all together somehow with the help of friends (and a new “BYOC: Bring Your Own Cupcakes” clause!). We’re really thankful they did, because we did not want to miss the amazing Wai-Ching dress, gorgeously-coiffed dreads, adorable family sand ceremony, and all of the DIY projects. Oh, let’s not forget the Harry Potter-inspired saxophonist/magician and impromptu break dancing on the dance floor.

Beatrijs & Danny’s colourful industrial wedding

This couple’s beautiful celebration is full of contrasting elements and bright details, from the groom’s neon green shoes to the bride’s bright blue fingernails. Among all the tough stuff and inclusive measures like making sure there was plenty of seating inside and out, you’ve also got to love how they were able to include the bride’s father, recuperating in the hospital, via iPhone presence and Skype.

Julie & Paul’s farm fresh and sassy wedding

After two years of life and natural disasters delaying the wedding, these hunter/gatherers finally tied the knot at their own gorgeous home in Nova Scotia. With their own foliage (and some lingerie!) as decor, a doggie ring bearer, a fake roadkill-style menu, an actual seafood dinner, and the kissy-face couple themselves, I don’t even know what you’ll love most. Let’s just go with everything!
