Embracing New Orleans wedding traditions in classy-as-hell style
It was really important for us to have a Catholic ceremony and to include New Orleans traditions such as the second line parade, cake pulls, and voodoo doll groom’s cake. We also wanted to include small details of our personalities such as the welcome bags, King cake, custom dolls, family photos, and ’80s alternative music.
Brittany & Thomas’ garden wedding in Baton Rouge gives us all the feels
High school sweethearts on a thrifty budget, whimsical DIYed decor, a lovely outdoor ceremony in Baton Rouge, and a second line with sparklers — this wedding is love itself. Don’t miss the romantic first dance, the gender-blind wedding party (with heart-shaped sunnies!), the ribbon ceremony backdrop, and golden dinosaur details.
Amanda & Meghan’s glittery queer wedding
Two dresses, two ladies, and many ways to love this wedding. Don’t miss the emotional vows, the perfect-for-them readings, the shiny aisle decor, and the pet-themed cake. But the dance party at the reception may just trump it all — as long as you don’t split your pants while you’re dipping it low!
Lisa & Adam’s Southern gothic nerdy wedding
These two gothically-inclined cuties totally know how to combine TARDIS cookies with elegantly dark decor, sweet vows with a gorgeous stage ceremony, and Southern charm with grace in the face of grief. This wedding had its share of challenges, but the end result was something to be admired. Oh, and just wait until you see how the father/daughter dance ended up one of the funniest moments!
