Jenne and Vojtech’s art deco 1920s-themed Texas wedding had some gorgeous moments (including a Star Wars t-shirt tribute from the groomsmen!). One detail stood out as a total steal-this idea. They offered up plates as their guest book! Guests signed them with permanent markers for placement on the couple’s walls after the wedding.

You guys: season six of Game of Thrones happens THIS SUNDAY. Are you as excited as we are? I’ve remained very spoiler-free, but I havent’ been able to resist thinking about our featured Game of Thrones weddings. I found more GoT wedding details that I had to share with you. I kind of want most of it just for my own use, but obviously it would all be killer at a Game of Thrones wedding. Just maybe keep the red and purple details to a minimum just in case? Heather and Matt had lots of 8-bit references in their wedding, but our favorite was definitely their Nintendo card box. The best part was their instructions sign that read, “If it does not work on first try, blow on card and reinsert card.” HA. If you don’t get that reference, you’re most likely a youngin’.

Stargate fans, we’ve got your dream ceremony backdrop. We spied this masterfully crafted Stargate altar built by groom Ian Milward for his sci-fi wedding. The ring itself is 12 feet in diameter and looks even more rad lit up with LEDs. The Stargate ceremony backdrop was made by Ian and his partner who met at a hardware store and bonded over their love of sci-fi.
