Allison & Sage’s Buddhist gothic gluten-free wedding
With 90 days to plan their wedding, these two pulled off a fusion of Victorian Gothic and Traditional Taiwanese that will blow your mind. Her beyond-gorgeous kimono and his dapper top hat and cane make for fabulous photos, but their thoughtful buffet of eats-for-all-eaters is a real sight to see, even if they did need help figuring out how to cut the cake. PS: the rally music for paper-crane-folding party? Awesome.
Check the bride-designed dress with a 20-foot train at this Santa Barbara courthouse wedding
Karissa and Jonas were married in Santa Barbara among rich colors and gorgeous murals. Karissa designed her own dress after a Coco Chanel design and coupled it with a 20-foot silk cape for her train. Other details included gold-dipped bird skull boutonnieres, a travel book where guests wrote well-wishes on their favorite locations, and a 1950s Chevy getaway car.
Crystal & Denny’s rockabilly red and turquoise wedding
If falling in love is like owning a dog, these two took the leash and ran with it. Their ceremony honored their love for each other and their beloved pets. Their rockabilly sensibilities, with a Hard Rock Cafe backdrop, made for a very musically-inspired event, complete with guestbook guitar and fab playlist. All that, and an amazing red dress — wait til you see what’s under it!
Cory & Joe’s laid-back winter wonderland wedding
This mellow holiday wedding lit the electric menorah and decorated with Christmas trees, featured appearances by a female Elvis impersonator AND a female Santa impersonator, and had a fountain — not of chocolate, but NACHO CHEESE. The ceremony involved compromising on vows, touching readings, and family blessings, and as one small guest put it, some WHOA. Snuggle in for some holiday cheer and peek through this winter wonderland wedding…
