First comes baby then comes marriage: our favorite parent couples who got hitched
“I got divorced a couple of years back and am partnered again planning a wedding for Halloween 2020. However, we decided to do the whole kid thing beforehand and will hopefully have a little one at our wedding by then. I’m looking for advice/examples of bad-ass families who married post-baby. I’m having a hard time finding anything.” Hell yes we have examples! Come and see…
This cave vow renewal in Mexico is pure family love
Entrepreneurs and adventure lovers, Sandi and Jimi, decided at the last minute to renew their vows with their three kiddos in a cenote (a natural pit) while traveling in Playa del Carmen. Pulling from their own cultures and experiences, they crafted a beautiful and intimate ceremony to re-bind their family together.
After that it was getting down to some serious play time with the kids in the wild foliage of Playa del Carmen, which is in no short supply of beauty. Let’s put on our sun-soaked goggles for this cave vow renewal in Mexico.
These Bob’s Burgers wedding vows are surprisingly romantic
We were ogling this amazing two-dude vintage wedding from last week and had to pull out one tiny ceremony detail that was AWESOME. One of the grooms, Anthony, was able to incorporate the surprisingly romantic Thanksgiving song from Bob’s Burgers into his vows. We couldn’t resist pulling this out to share for your own Bob’s Burgers wedding vows.
Is a marriage mission statement the vow alternative for you?
While I adore the myriad of heartfelt, cute, humorous, serious, and geeky wedding vows I’ve seen all over Offbeat Bride, promises of specific behavior didn’t quite fit the relationship philosophies held by my partner and I. Eventually we decided to write a mission statement for our marriage and expand that into something more poetic in lieu of vows. We wanted something that allowed room for the dynamic changes that naturally happen with individuals and with relationships, something broad and philosophical. We wanted a marriage mission statement.
