Retro Star Wars Save the Date is blowing my mind
I’ve seen a lot of Star Wars wedding invitations and Save the Dates in my internet years. But, I had yet to see one with awesome vintage flare, such as these Star Wars Save the Date postcards from Tribesmaid Marty. The front is, indeed, awesome, but it’s the back that’s making me do the R2D2 head spin.
Storm Troopers, puppy kisses, and one canoe processional
Tribesmaid Stina posted this photo of her mom grooving to the music. Stina said, ” She helped make my wedding day the most amazing experience I’ve ever had.” It looked like mom had a pretty good time too. The Tribe, the Offbeat Flickr Pool, and Pinterest also gave us some Storm Troopers, puppy kisses, canoe processionals, and amazing groom’s hair. Check it all out and put a smile on your case of The Mondays.
Add some comic geek cred to your photo booth
Planning a DIY photo booth? Some black, propped-up foam core board can turn a regular photo booth into a life-size comic strip.
My secular ceremony wording: lots of equality and silly puns
Like our personalized wedding logo, our ceremony is something we came up with together and personalized as well. We wanted to keep it short, simple, and light-hearted but also emphasizing equality — you will not find the word “obey” in this ceremony, but you will find Calvin and Hobbes and a butchered zombie head.
Star Wars and save-the-dates took over the Montage!
Star Wars wedding porn abounded in the Offbeat Flickr Pool and even hit our Pinterest account. There were also some stellar invitations, a cute and casual flash mob wedding in the mud, some Mass Effect earrings, and a big ol’ corn dog display! Take a look-see at all the reader submissions in this week’s Monday Montage.
Erin & Michael’s half-Catholic, half-talent show wedding
Take a Catholic family and mix it up with every kind of performer you can imagine, and you’ll come up with this wedding. Belly dancing, stilt-walking, singing, dancing, and a sweet little ceremony to boot. Add in a few Star Wars and Monty Python references and you’ve got the complete package.
