A Cuban-American Moonrise Kingdom-themed retro wedding
Our wedding was a Moonrise Kingdom-themed epic night in which we celebrated everything and everyone we love. My family is from Cuba and Ian is half Cuban and half American, so we did a special Cuban Cafecito with Tata (my grandmother) ceremony as our “Unity Ceremony.”
A lovingly low-key elopement in Miami Beach
Lovingly low-key/easy elopement was our theme. We just wanted a fabulous day where we could celebrate together in a fun city.
We chose the date and location almost by default because Ben was scheduled to be there for training the week before, and had paid time off scheduled the week of Thanksgiving. We eloped for a number of reasons, but mainly because we did not want the meaning of the day to get lost in the shuffle of a big shindig.
Brunch drunk love: Jensen & Quinn’s whimsical vintage-inspired wedding
Vintage-inspired decor, super lush floral arrangements, and a seriously gorgeous couple are making us googly-eyed for this wedding. Plus: brunch food like chicken and waffles and craft beer? Sign us up. Prepare yourself for a barrage of amazing floral arrangements, fabulous popcorn favor bags, snazzy signature drinks, and a very cool use of ceremony/reception space with long tables.
Priscilla & Christopher’s dark and gorgeous Wiccan handfasting
Skull details and spooky music set the tone for this dark and gorgeous Wiccan wedding. A little Lana del Rey, some old timey Disney music, and high priestess ceremony officiant rounded it all out. Don’t miss the World of Warcraft cake topper, the bride’s hidden purple and black tights, and their amazing highlights video.
Skulls and pugs and top hats oh my at Julia & Max’s wedding
Candy skulls, skulls on ties, skulls on ties on pugs… this wedding has a bit of goth in it, a bit of hilarity, and a bit of “oh yes please.” Do not miss the bride’s amazing black and white dress, fabulous top hat, and super realistic bone-heeled shoes. There’s also one spoiled little pug who totally knows how to rock his skull tie. You don’t want to miss it.
A tropical backyard circus wedding from the aerialist minds of Gorgas & Jason
This ultra-DIYed, over-the-top fabulous wedding had marquee letters, midways games, and even handmade confetti. But the real stars of this show was the circus-inspired decor, the ADORABLE ceremony tears, cheers, and send-off, and the colored fairy-lit evening under the stars. Just be careful if you decide to show off some circus antics on the ground… you just may end up smooshed on it.
