hen I set out to marry my boyfriend Tom, I’d already been married for nine years to my husband Dan. This would be Tom’s first wedding, so I didn’t really want to just run off and elope, but he was cool with it, so away we went. This couple had a multicultural anniversary photo shoot that drew inspiration from Burning Man, the Chilean circus culture to focus on something organic and natural. They incorporated both forest and ocean imagery to represent their backgrounds. Don’t miss all the color, textures, and quirkiness that represented their respective cultures including the handmade hat and headpiece, as well as the parasol, which had little hearts, typical from the Aymara from the north of Chile.

With two very nontraditional people, we decided to highlight aspects of our specific tastes and lives. All the bridesmaids had floral dresses of their own choosing, and the groomsmen all had floral ties of their choosing (and one female groomsmen picked her own floral dress as well). Vegan, gluten-free Southern cuisine was served along with local Northern California wines and beers.
