Julie & Tom’s sci-fi and carnival-inspired treehouse wedding
Snow cones, vuvuzelas, high school students doing historical readings, dressed up dogs, 10-mile runs in wedding garb, a treehouse ceremony, Doctor Who… dude, it’s even fun typing it out! Lots of interests, lots of DIY, and lots of awesome. The bride doesn’t even mention that there was a milkshake bar, which I totally spied on the menu. What!
Lucy & Dan’s vintage vegan Buddhist wedding
This couple collected vintage plates and tablecloths to adorn a sweet little village hall, did a whole lot of DIY, and created a really cool earthy feel. Add in their Buddhist ceremony, vegan reception, and “Who’s Who” board (with baby photos of everyone!), and it’s a personalized party with panache.
Cindy & Jay’s adventure festival wedding with streaking
A diverse group of friends and family deserves diverse activities like fire spinning, hula hooping, live music, and of course… streaking. Wait, what? This couple had their ceremony kicked off in a seriously funny way. With their trusty pooch in tow, zoot suit-clad groom, surprise group blessing, and all the elements at their disposal, this was an outdoor wedding to remember.
A medieval Pagan handfasting vow renewal
Seeing the love at a young couple’s wedding is one thing, but seeing the same big, soppy, lovey-dovey love after 20 years at a vow renewal just rocks. Kids, dogs, handmade medieval garb, and a wicked maypole brings it all together.
