Our beach and buttons veggie wedding
On top of the couple’s awesome ink and gorgeous venue (with carousel!), there was also a beach just made for dipping. Not only did the groom’s guys take the plunge, the bride ended up swimming too, dress and all! With a button-y bouquet and vegetarian menu, this was never destined to be your typical beach-side soiree.
Erin & Tadd’s quirky destination beach wedding
After a little snafu keeping their venue, this pair rocked the beach with their monster movie details, lush dessert buffet, and vows written by the wedding party. Plus, the groom had an additional challenge when removing the garter: the bride’s cowboy boot-shaped rain boots!
Make a fancy candelabra centerpiece for under a fiver
I made this centrepiece with a beachy theme for less than $5 NZ (approximately 3.90 US). If you’re not having a beach wedding, think about this centerpiece in all black or a dark red for a goth wedding, or creating a steampunk version? The themed candelabra options are endless…
Clare & John’s colourful informal mega-DIYed wedding
DIYing some details is one thing, but this couple self-catered, had all DIY decor, and the bride made and embroidered her own gown. Plus, the groom actually composed and recorded the ceremony music himself! Add in their multicolored theme with the goal of an informal food and games afternoon, and you’re in for a treat.
