A canoe entrance, a dock jump, and a breastfeeding mama round out this fab camp wedding
Gus and Ria were married at Camp Moran State Park on Orcas Island, where they camped and partied hard. Some of our favorite parts include the couple’s son Harlan breastfeeding before the wedding, the canoe entrance to the ceremony, and the joyous dock jump after! They quite literally took the plunge. The reception had dancing, s’mores, and even some skinny-dipping. All is right with this wedding.
These two brides had a rustic redwoods wedding (despite a big challenge with some fiddlers!)
Feast your eyes on the rustic redwoods wedding of your California dreams. Though this GORGEOUS pair had a big challenge with some fiddlers (you have to read about it!), they conquered the day with style, flair, and teamwork. Don’t miss the fashion, the tearful impromptu speech at the reception, and the giant Serenity Prayer circle. It’ll move you.
Find out how Magic: The Gathering and Chipotle led to this nerdtastic engagement shoot
Will and Sara are self-described super nerds (our people!) and rocked a Magic: The Gathering meets Doctor Who engagement session that we couldn’t resist. Table-topping, TARDISing, and smooching — the story of our nerd-loving hearts. They met when she overheard him while walking down the street talking about Magic. As fate would have it, Will walked into the Chipotle line directly behind her and she gathered up the courage to talk to him since she too played Magic. Thus, the photos playing Magic are at none other than Chipotle!
The matching suits at this Vegas wedding will fill your heart with floral-covered joy
I don’t know if I can adequately prepare you for the super chic matching suits on Lance and Cary. It’s almost too much to bear. You just have to see it, appreciate it, and let it fill your heart with joy. The matching fabric was originally spotted on a pillow while they were shopping for their interior design clients, and they felt it totally pulled together the garden feel of the venue and their fave color. Plus, they’ve been together for 28 years and counting, so we’re looking at long-time love in action. Swoon city, people.
Sugar skulls, succulents, and lanterns abound at this Dia de los Muertos wedding (with bonus GROOT CAKE!)
Arlene and Jared have always wanted to get married in the fall as it’s their perfect weather in Northern California. They’re also fully into all things Halloween, their Mexican culture, Dia de los Muertos, and sugar skulls, so this theme was a no-brainer. They chose a restaurant with authentic and fresh Mexican food and decor, Milagros Cantina, which meant decorating was far easier. But a few skulls, lanterns, terracotta pots, and succulents made an appearance. Jared’s brother Rian helped out by hiring a few of his music students to be our string quartet for the ceremony. Let’s peek at this Dia de los Muertos wedding in Redwood City, California.
A Vader officiant, dance to the aisle, and mass golf cart march at this Hawaiian Halloween wedding
Keilin and Sean DIYed SO MUCH for their Hawaiian Halloween wedding including the handmade Halloween houses on each table. Seriously, investigate those photos for the details — so worth it. But just wait until you see the bride and groom in their dapper finery, the mass exodus to the ceremony on golf carts, the DANCE TO THE AISLE, and the Darth Vader officiant. This wedding kills it with fun and meticulous details.
