“A few of our favorite things”: a nostalgic wedding down memory lane

The theme to our wedding was pretty simple: "these are a few of our favorite things." One of the things that made us fall for each other was our similar interests from childhood. We wanted our wedding to be full of nostalgiac whimsy and, most importantly, us. From the first day we were engaged we knew we wanted to get married at Childrens Fairyland in Oakland, a place near and dear to our hearts. You better believe I called the venue that first day while laying on the beach in Hawaii.

A Houston artistic wedding with a Frida Kahlo-inspired headpiece that SLAYS

Candace and Onemena (aka Neemo) rocked an artistic wedding with influences of Frida Kahlo. There were beautiful and lush touches from Candace’s dress to the florals to the decor and fab cakes. This Las Vegas wedding took Elvis on the road and finished up with pancakes galore

Anna and Bryon’s Las Vegas elopement had everything we love about Vegas: a classic Elvis impersonator officiant, a playing card boutonniere, lots of DIY that matched Las Vegas style (look out for the big dice “bouquet!”), and a pancake reception (with a playing card pancake topper!).

Don’t miss Anna’s amazing two-piece dress with detachable skirt…

A darkly chic wedding with karaoke and Mexican meets Korean food

A darkly chic wedding with karaoke and Mexican meets Korean food

Samantha and Michael lived in South Korea while planning their darkly chic wedding in Seattle. They rocks a self-officiated ceremony that was more of a performance than a ceremony itself. Michael played the piano, and the two of them quoted The Cure. But the most tantalizing part for me was their reception food. They blended both of their cultures by featuring Mexican and Korean-influenced dishes. YUM. Then it was all about killer karaoke and an after party under a moonlit sky.
