Based on reader feedback that it was “hard to find any weddings of people of color,” we started tagging posts that featured a BIPOC bride and/or groom — and/or means you’ll find tons of interracial couples in here! Increasing visibility for BIPOC folks has been a priority for us since 2008, and note that we always allow folks to self-identify. More about how and why we do this here.

Sarah and Veronica wanted to plan a wedding that was super bright and colorful. Veronica is Mexican-American and the wedding incorporated several Mexican culture elements including papel picado, bright tissue paper flowers, lotería table numbers, and tacos.

Let’s bow down to this garden wedding with the crop top wedding dress of our dreams

Amani and Josh, Broadway actress and sound guru respectively, are creative forces who put together one hell of a backyard-style garden wedding. The wedding was held in one of Austin’s most interesting venue spaces, Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, and featured a fab crop top dress, an embroidered groom’s jacket, the jumping of the broom, and so many colorful details in the decor.

Jessie and Adam are huge Disney fans AND talented artists who both work for Disney. That combination makes for a seriously magical, seriously eye-popping Disney-themed wedding. The handmade Disney Classic-inspired centerpieces alone had us freaking out.
