We're always digging on ModCloth for their super curated retro stylings, but the ModCloth wedding collection is kind of off the hook. There are lots of dress options from super fancy to cute and casual, and accessories and shoes to salivate over. Plus, most styles run up to 4X, so they're pretty size-inclusive. Let's take a look at some of our personal faves from their wedding collection.

Comments on Retro wedding goodies: ModCloth is lining up a ton of affordable wedding fashion
I love OBB and have for ages, and one of the reasons why I’ve always respected this site and the Empire overall is due to good business ethics and practices. Which is why I got super sad when I didn’t see an affiliate disclosure on this post. I’m curious if it was just an oversight or if it’s a change in the way the site is approaching affiliate-based content.
Heya! This is an awesome question, and I’m so glad you brought it up. I love having readers that watch out for this stuff.
So to answer your most immediate question: in the case of this post, it was an oversight. It’s been corrected, and the affiliate disclaimer is now showing!
Your question brings up a larger issue I should address, though. I’ve written about how the Offbeat Empire use Skimlinks: https://offbeatempire.com/skimlinks. Having Skimlinks enabled on our sites means that technically every single link on our network is an affiliate link — even links that readers share in the comments. This makes the disclaimer feel a little silly. Sure, this specific post is focused on an affiliate… but if you’re concerned about monetization, it’s worth assuming that every post is designed to be a revenue driver. Should we have the disclaimer at the top of every single page? (That’s a lot of clutter.) Should we have it the sidebar like we do on Vendor listings? (Will people see it?) It currently lives in the footer of every page across every Offbeat Empire site…
This is a great topic for an Offbeat Empire post… I’ll try to write something up soon! Regardless, I’m glad you brought up the issue — I’m always down to talk monetization transparency.
OMG. MUST buy that first dress. N.O.W. Will see where to wear it later! 😉
