Polkadot wedding shoes: spring 2012 edition
It’s only been a few months since my last polkadot wedding shoes post, but people: spring 2012 has been KIND to lovers of the dots.
Below, I’ve got polkadot heels and wedges, flats and booties, Oxfords and sandals.
As is increasingly the case with my shoe posts, things get weirder and weirder toward the bottom. I’mma start with some gentler black and white options, some nice tan dots for those of you who don’t want to blind your guests…but we’re going to close with dot/floral mixes, platforms with polkadots and skulls, and other spotty freakery.
Bubble guns and ribbon wands: a colorful playful wedding that will tickle your inner child
Colleen and David rocked so many killer ideas for their colorful playful wedding that we can barely fit it all in telling you about it. You’ll scroll through these photos writing down everything you see. First, the colors: tangerines, raspberries, corals with accent of aquas. It was definitely a playful vibe over super romantic and sacred.

I mean, if you think unicorn flats are hawt, which I do…
Wedding sandals for beach weddings, backyard weddings, and crazed patio dancing
Wedges! Platforms! Flip-flops! Slides! T-straps! We are going to talk about some freaking SANDALS today, because I know some of you are planning destination weddings, beach weddings, and other outdoor weddings that will be happening in hot places. I ran the gamut on this one, from more formal-feeling wedges and low pumps to totally casual flats and t-straps. And of course at least one pair of rainbow flip-flops because, well, you know how I am.
Fiona & Sean’s 1950s strawberries ‘n’ cream wedding
Fiona and Sean arrived at the ceremony in a pink 1950s Cadallac convertible. The bridesmaids wore different colored polka dot halter dresses and Fiona walked down the aisle to Johnny Cash. Fiona’s family performed special songs for them during the reception.
